My artistic practice is rooted in the belief that painting can communicate states of feeling that lie beyond words. I am drawn to the quiet presence of ordinary things—the weight of an object, the stillness of a room, the relationship between forms—and transform them through colour, texture, and gesture into something more contemplative and emotionally charged. My paintings are not intended simply to describe what I see, but to reveal what I sense within it.

I work primarily with oil and acrylic, building surfaces through deliberate, expressive brushwork. The physicality of the paint is essential to my process: each stroke contributes to the rhythm, tension, and emotional character of the image. My forms are simplified and sometimes gently abstracted, while my earthy and restrained palette is often set against stronger fields of colour. This contrast allows the composition to move between solidity and vulnerability, silence and intensity, observation and imagination.

My approach has been shaped by a lifelong engagement with painting, beginning during my studies of art in Alexandria and continuing through different cultural and academic experiences. Influences from modern masters such as Modigliani, Cézanne, Morandi, and Matisse remain part of my visual language, yet my work has gradually developed toward a more personal form of expression—one concerned less with representation and more with the emotional weight of form.

Whether working on a still life, a figure, a landscape, or a sculptural form, I seek a balance between structure and freedom. I am interested in the moment when recognizable reality begins to give way to an inner reality: when colour becomes atmosphere, texture becomes emotion, and an ordinary subject acquires a quiet psychological presence. Ultimately, my work is an exploration of permanence, restraint, and human feeling through the enduring language of form and paint.
